Systematic supervision (examination and advice) of woman during pregnancy called antenatal care.

It includes regular and periodic supervision.

2. Advice Given to Pregnant Woman

Antecare includes;

1. Systemic supervision of mother and foetus

2. Advice, health infection, fever, exercise given to pregnant mother.

3. Assess; movement (put hand on abdomen)

4. Weight of mother

Objective of Antenatal Care

1. Healthy pregnancy

2. Pregnant mother (not a disease conditions)

3. Examination of mother and foetus

4. To prevent or detect or treat at earlier any complication.

5. To educate the mother about physiological changes 

6. Screen high risk pregnancy
