Lymphatic system

Lymphatic system is network of tissue and organs what help rid the body of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials from cell.

It is made up of a large network of lymphatic vessels, lymphatic or lymphoid  organs and lymphoid tissues. The vessels carry a clear fluid called lymph towards the Heart.

Lymphatic system begins with lymphatic capillaries, which are in direct contact with interstitial fluid and surrounding tissue.

Spleen, thymus, lymphoid tissue, Bone marrow, tonsil


Function of Lymphatic system

Fluid balance

Absorption of fat

Defense, production o immune response

Tissue drainage

Transport clean fluids back to the blood

Remove debris from cells of body
