Endotracheal tube (ET tube)
An endotracheal tube, also called an ET tube. It is a flexible tube that is placed in the trachea (windpipe) through the mouth or nose. In most emergency situations, ET is placed through the mouth.The process of inserting an endotracheal tube (ET tube) is called endotracheal intubation.

For oral intubations;
7.0-7.5 ETT is generally appropriate for an average woman.
7.5-8.5 ETT for an average man.
