defibrillator

  Defibrillator

Defibrillators are devices that send an electric current or shock to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat. This device is used to prevent or correct an arrhythmia, irregular heartbeat that is too slow or too fast heartbeat. If the heart suddenly stops, defibrillators can also help to return beat again.

Defibrillator delivers the electric current to restore a normal heart rhythm.

Defibrillators can help with;

1. Ventricular tachycardia

Very fast heartbeat without pulse.

2. Ventricular fibrillation (VF)

Malfunction of the heart's normal pumping sequence. Uncontrolled twitching or quivering of heart's muscle fibers. When (ventricle) lower chambers of the heart quiver (occur shaking movement) instead of pumping blood to the body.

3. Cardiac arrest due to or resulting in VF
