Arterial Line
Arterial pressure monitoring is a form of invasive blood pressure monitoring and is done through the cannulation of a peripheral artery.
An arterial catheter is a thin, hollow tube that is commonly inserted into an artery (blood vessel) in the wrist (radial artery) for invasive BP monitoring. Arterial lines can be ulnar, brachial, axillary, posterior tibial, femoral, and dorsalis pedis arteries to measure blood pressure.
Arterial catheter connected to a pressure transducer and display the blood pressure through monitor.
Place normal saline in pressure bag and pump to 300mg Hg to keep pressure bag inflated, ensure pressure maintain of pressure beg at 300 mm Hg, to flush the arterial line.
Arterial line continuous beat-to-beat monitoring of blood pressure in hemodynamically unstable patients. Intra-arterial blood pressure measurement is more accurate than measurement of BP by noninvasive.
