1. Bactericidal

Drug that kill bacteria.

2. Bacteriostatic 

Drug that inhibit growth of bacteria.

3. Classification on the basis of their site of action

1. Drugs acting on cell wall 

2. Drug acting on cell membrane 

3. Drug inhibiting protein synthesis

4. Drugs inhibition DNA synthesis
