Normal labour is series of events that takes place in the genital organs in an effort to expel the viable products of conception out of the womb through the vagina into the outer world is called labour.

1. No maternal or fetal complication
2. Without undue prolongation
3. With vertex presentation
4. Spontaneous in onset and at term
5. Minimum use of instruments (natural termination with minimal aids)
