1. Latent (Interval)- Also known as a latent period, latency period or pre-infectious period. It is the time interval (Period) between when an individual or host is infected by a pathogen (exposure to the cause) and when the condition becomes infectious (appearance of the disease).
For example- the incubation period of a disease.
2. Leiomyo- “of smooth
muscle cell”
for example, leiomyoma (fibroids) benign tumour of
smooth muscle cell.

Lesion- Any region in an organ or tissue, damage associated with injury or disease such as
a wound, ulcer, abscess.

Leukaemia- "a cancer of white blood cells". A blood cancer that develops in blood-forming tissue. It usually
begins in the bone marrow, a place where blood cells are made. The cancer causes make large numbers of abnormal white blood cells
in the body. It leads to the excessive production of abnormal white blood cells.
