1. Pathology – “study of disease”
It is a branch of medical science in which study cause, origin, nature, and effects of disease or
injury.

Papillary - surface characterized by
numerous folds or villous projections (finger-like structures).

Papilloma – Benign (non-cancerous) neoplasm of epithelium tissue on a stalk, grow
outwardly projecting often finger-like structures that arise from body tissues.
(contrast
with sessile - directly attached by the base; not raised upon stalk).

Paraprotein- Also called M-protein, paraprotein,
or M-component. It usually secretion of a monoclonal immunoglobulin (M-Ig) by abnormal
plasma protein (proteins present in blood plasma ), may be associated with several malignant
conditions. It can develop the risk of myeloma (cancer of blood cells or plasma cells).
4. Parasite – Organism that lives on or in a host organism and gets food from its host to survive. For example agents of malaria, mosquitoes, hookworms, ticks, etc.
