1. Carry blood from heart.
2. Carry oxygenated blood (except - pulmonary artery).
3. Rich in nutrient carried by artery.
4. Normally bright red in colour.
5. Elastic walls that expands with surge of blood, highly muscular.
6. No valves (Except in semilunar valves of pulmonary artery and Aorta)
7 .Can feel a pulse
8. Function is to supply blood to the body organ.
9. Flow pressure is high.
10. Arteries ends capillaries
11. Arteries are further divided into arterioles
12. Arteries has small lumen.
13. They are deeply situated with in body.
Vein
1. Carry blood to heart
2. Carry deoxygenated blood (except pulmonary vein)
3 .Rich in waste material is carried by veins.
4. Normally dark red in colour
5. Thin walls/ less elastic
6. Valves (present in veins to prevent back flow)
7. No pulse
8. Function involves collection of blood from body organs
9. Pressure is low.
10. Veins start in blood capillaries.
11. Veins are further divided into vanules
12. Veins have large lumen.
13. They are superficial periphery located closer to skin.
