Mycobacteria
"Look like fungi"
These are gram positive and very slow growing bacteria.
They are acid fast aerobic, non sporing and non capsulated bacteria bacilli.
The mycobacteria can be divided into three major groups;
1. Mycobacterium tuberculosis
2. Mycobacterium leprae
3. Non tuberculosis mycobacteria
