These fungi spreads radially in dead keratinized layer of skin by branching hyphae.

Dermatophytoses are aerobic fungi that can invade and infect keratinized layer of skin, hair and nails.

Source and mode of Transmission

Direct contact with infected people or animal and fomites.

Spread in water logged skin (moist feet of athletes get infected with, known as athlete's foot disease).
