stages of viral replication

 Viral Replication

For multiplication or replication, virus totally depend on host cell, because viruses lack enzymes required for multiplication.

Information of virus multiplication prevent in viral nucleic acid (RNA/DNA).

Stages of Viral Replication

1. Attachment

2. Penetration

3. Uncoating

4. Replication

5. Assembly

6. Maturation

7. Release

Viral Multiplication Cycle

1. Attachment to host cell

2. Penetration

Penetrates into host cell.

3. Uncoating

Uncoated viral nuclei integrates into host DNA.

4. Biosynthesis

Synthesis of various molecule that are required for formation of virus.

5. Assembly or maturation

After biosynthesis, biomolecules assemble; formation of complete virus).

6. Release

Release out of host cell, time taken for viral multiplication is about 25-30 hour's.
