 Basal ganglia

Deep within each cerebral hemisphere (within white mater), are several group of nuclei in each cerebral hemisphere is called basal ganglia.

Basal ganglia receive input from and provide output to cerebral cortex and thalamus and hypothalamus.

Basal nuclei are important in organizing and coordinating motor movements.


Limbic system

The structure and interacting areas of limbic system involved in emotion emotional brain.
