Cerebrum

 1. Cerebrum; largest part of Brain

It occupies anterior and middle cranial fossae. 

It is divided by a deep cleft, the longitudinal cerebral fissure into right cerebral hemisphere and left cerebral hemisphere.

Each containing one of lateral ventricles.

Deep within brain hemisphere are connected by mass of white mater (nerve fibers) called corpus callosum.

Falx cerebri separates two hemispheres and penetrates to depth of corpus callosum.

Cerebrum is composed of -

1. Cerebral cortex

Superficial (peripheral) part of cerebrun is composed of nerve cell bodies or grey mater forming cerebral cortex.

2. White mater 

Deep layer consist of nerve fibers or white mater.

Cluster of grey mater deep inside brain are nuclei.
