Ossify between age 20 to 30 (by 60 all sutures ossified).

Sutures of infants and children are movable, except for mandible, ear ossicles and hyoid bone, a other skull bones are joint by sutures.

Types of skull sutures

1. Coronal sutures

United frontal bones with both parietal bones.

2. Lambdoidal sutures

Present between parietal and occipital bones.

3. Sagittal sutures

Unites right and left parietal bone.

4. Squamous sutures

Between temporal and parietal bones (lateral)

5. Frontal sutures (separate two halves of frontal bone)
