Endocrine system
In our body, have two communication systems;
1. Nervous system
2. Endocrine system
These system functionally coordinate organs of body and play central role in maintaining homeostasis (Maintain internal state iof body).
Endocrine system
Endocrine system is control system of ductless gland, that secrete hormones.
Hormones are chemical substance, secreted by cell into extracellular fluids, that regulate metabolic function of other cells in body means effects in the cellular activity of other cells (target cells).
They influence cellular growth and metabolism.
Homeostasis of internal environment is maintained partly by Autonomic nervous system and partly by endocrine system.
Types of Hormones
1. Steroids hormone
Derived from cholesterol.
a. Sex steroids producing by testes and ovaries.
b. Corticosteroid produce by adrenal gland.
2. Peptide hormone
Hormone include;
Secreted by; anterior and posterior pituitary gland
