Morphology classification of fungi

Fungi divided into four groups;

1. Moulds

They are filamentous and mycelial fungi.

2. Yeasts

Unicellular organisms reproducing by budding.

3. Yeast like Fungi

For example; candida albicans.

4. Dimorphic fungi

Grown in mycelium form at low temperature (20-22 degree Celsius) in soil but grown in yeast form at 37 degree Celsius in animal body.
