Corneal ulcer is also known as ulcerative keratitis.

Corneal ulcer refers open sore on cornea. It is inflammatory, infective condition involving disruption of its epithelial layer with involvement of corneal stroma.

Causes of corneal Ulcer

1. Bacterial

2. Viral

3. Fungal

4. Chemical burn; caustic solution

5. Eye disorder that affect eyelid
