What Are Mental Disorders?

 

Mental disorders are conditions in which an individual can affect his or her own thinking, mood, and behavior that may be occasional or long-lasting.

If individual experiences or faces mental health problems, the individual’s thinking, mood, and behavior could be affected.

Many people with mental disorders can get treated, and many of them recover completely.

An individual with an anxiety disorder has severe fear or anxiety, which relates to certain situations or objects.

An individual with a mood disorder has significant or prompt changes in mood or mood swings means a rapid change in mood.

 3. Schizophrenia disorder

Schizophrenia may result in some combination of delusions (fixed, false beliefs that conflict with reality), hallucinations, and disordered thinking or thought and behavior that impairs an individual’s daily functioning.

There are many risk factors that contribute to mental health problems, including:

 

1. Family history of mental health problems

2. Life experiences - any trauma or abuse

3. Biological factors include genetics, infections, prenatal damage, brain defects or injuries, exposure to toxins, and substance abuse or brain chemistry

4. Your lifestyles, such as diet, physical activity, and substance use

5. Continuous social and economic pressure

Early Warning Signs of Mental Health Problem

 

The question is what are the early warning signs that might have a mental health problem?


Following as possible signs of a mental health disorder-

 

1. Having low or no energy

2. Having unexplained aches and pains

3. Feeling helpless or hopeless

4. Pulling away from people and usual activities

5. Smoking, drinking, or using drugs more than usual

6. Feeling unusually confused, forgetful, on edge, angry, upset, worried, or scared

7. Yelling or fighting with family and friends

8. Thinking of harming yourself or others

9. Inability to perform daily tasks

10. Hearing voices or believing things that are not true

11. Experiencing severe mood swings that cause problems in relationships

If you are experiencing have a mental health problem, consult a doctor, and get rid of talk therapy, meditation, and medicines that can treat mental disorders.
