Types of contraction
1. Isometric contraction
Muscle fibers don't change in length.
When develop muscle tension but remains the same length.
Muscle don't shorten during contraction, it simply exerts tension.
For example; standind, Holding a door
2. Isotonic contraction
Tension remains the same, in muscle as the muscle length changes.
a. Concentric contraction
Muscle fibers shorten as muscle contract.
b. Eccentric contraction
Muscle fiber lengthen as they contract.
3. Involuntary muscle movements
Spasms
Cramps
Tremors
Tetanus
