A parasite is living organism they get nourishment from another living organism (Host), where it lives.
Host
It is the organism which gives shelter to parasite.
Parasite gets benefits from host.
Types of Host
1. Definite host
(Primary host)
Parasite undergoes sexual reproduction occurs.
For example;
Taenia solium;
Man; definite host
Pig; intermediate host
2. Intermediate host
(Secondary host)
Larval development of parasite occurs).
3. Reservoir host
Transmission to other host.
4. Natural host
Naturally infected to species.
