3. Intradermal route; administer into the dermis

Subcutaneous Injection Angle

Subcutaneous injections are usually given at a 45-degree angle and it can be given straight in at a 90 degree.

Technique to Administer SC injection

In this type of injection, a short needle is used to inject a drug into the fatty tissue layer between the skin and the muscle.

Lift the 1 and half inch fold of skin between your thumb and index finger. Inject the medication and skin should be pinched together.
